It is the only truck in the market which comes with the semi-forward cabin (SFC) style making it a special and exclusive truck. 407 SFC Gold comes with a safer all-steel cabin, rugged and durable overall built quality.

Despite the revamp, Tata Motors hasn’t changed much in exterior, keeping the truck’s original feel. The 4450 kg gross vehicle weight category cargo truck comes with a load body of 8.3 ft length, 6.5ft of width and height of 1.06ft. It gets the 7.00-R16LT 12 PR tyre capable of higher pick-up, offers superior mileage.This truck gets a standard fuel tank of 60-liter.

Interior

407 Gold SFC gets power steering for effortless driving experience no matter what kind of terrain. Inside the cabin, there are features to make it comfortable to drive and also highly productive. The low hysteresis clutch along with high size clutch booster lower pedal effort by 40% over BS4. The lower gear shift effort with optimized gear shift travel effort reduced by another 30%. The driver seat adjustment as per the height of the drivers in XZ direction-in SFC.

Extremely comfortable in-cabin experience due to enhanced noise vibration and harshness. This truck gets a new steering wheel for enjoyable driving. The Melba fabric for seats make the cabin ergonomic, effective in both summer and winter. Also highly improved accelerator, brake and clutch pedal positions for better driving comfort

The cabin is packed with features such as internal connectivity, high-quality music system with Blaupunkt speakers. It also gets a high-speed USB mobile charger, new multi-function ergonomic instrument cluster, tell tale symbol on instrument clusters, gear shift advisor in Instrument cluster. Aggregate gear shift advisors in the instrument cluster help drivers drive in proper gear to extract the highest fuel efficiency. The white Illumination facia and ignition switches- the light helps the driver to enter the cabin at night and to start ignition.

The new generation instrument cluster gets display trip indication, fuel, DEF level indicator, air pressure, speed, brake, seat belt, temperature, fuel economy, DPF regeneration, time, trip, SCR fault-related indications, and also gear shift advisor too.

Performance

Performance is another area where 407 Gold SFC has a proven track record by winning customer trust over the years. This cargo truck gets the well-known 4 SPCR engine, which produces a maximum 98hp of power and is increased by 18% for better turnaround time. The maximum torque of this engine is 300 Nm, this also increased by 20% for more pulling power, and the low-end torque is 290 Nm.

The banjo types rear axle offer more load-carrying capacities and are less prone to leakage. The front suspension is parabolic leaf spring, hydraulic double-acting shock absorbers and the rear suspension is semi-elliptical leaf spring with hydraulic double-acting shock absorbers. The high strength steel of 800 MP with high tensile strength makes the chassis strongest in the segment with a bolted design for increased modularity. E-Viscous fan to improve the mileage over long trips with full loads of cargo.

This truck is fitted with serrated coupling flange propeller shafts for better reliability and maintenance. Similarly, the new H2LS brakes offer better efficiency and help in better control and easy to operate, and maintenance-free and provide longer life durability.
