Market Introduction
Kia launched the updated Sonet in India on 8 April, 2022.
Technical Specifications
The SUV is powered by three powertrains: a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder petrol engine coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox producing 81bhp/115Nm, a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit mated to either a six-speed iMT or seven-speed DCT automatic gearbox making 117bhp/172Nm. The carmaker also offers a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel motor paired to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission capable of producing 112bhp/250Nm.
Exterior and Design
KIA Sonet is a 4 door car which has front Disc brakes, Mc Pherson Strut With Coil Spring suspensions and rear Drum brakes, Coupled Torsion Beam Axle (CTBA) with Coil Spring suspensions with 15 Inch Wheels.
Interior and Features
The brand offers two colour tones (beige with black or all-black) and a choice of two upholstery options (leatherette or semi leatherette) with Sonet. Besides this, the updated Sonet gets side airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard across the range. Some entry-level and mid-level trims have also benefited from new features, such as a new 4.2-inch instrument cluster, BA, HAC, ESC, and VSM. Meanwhile, it comes with a new Kia Connect logo, rear-seat back folding knob, and redesigned inside rearview mirror with a Kia Connect button.
Colours
Sonet in India can be purchased in 8 different colour options. All the shades & colours in which KIA Sonet is available in market are – Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Glacier White Pearl With Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Intelligence Blue, Steel Silver, Intense Red, Intense Red + Aurora black pearl.
