The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is powered by 124cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 8.58 bhp and a torque of 10 Nm. With front disc and rear drum brakes, Suzuki Burgman Street 125 comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Burgman Street 125 scooter weighs 110 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 changed the way Indian customers started looking at scooters. The maxi-scooter concept made a lot of people excited, thanks to its practicality and large scooter feeling.

Colours & Design

The Burgman Street 125 is available in five colours – red, white, grey, white and black. The Burgman Street 125 borrows majority of the big scooter styling from its bigger sibling. This scooter is known for its sharp styling and the presence of large body panels makes it feel extremely aspirational. Plus, the LED lights, large floorboard and seat along with nice flowing lines on the side makes it look quite good.

Mileage & Performance

The Burgman Street 125 is based on the Access chassis and driveline, which means peppy performance for a 125 cc. The motor is BS6-compliant and features fuel-injection which is claimed to provide smoother power delivery and better fuel efficiency as compared to the previous carbureted model. The revised engine produces 8.7 bhp and 10 Nm which means the power remains unchanged, but the torque figure has gone down by 0.2 Nm. Another update has come in the form of a new integrated engine start and kill switch with Suzuki Easy Start System. In terms of mileage, the Burgman Street 125 churns out a decent 40 kmpl – 45 kmpl.

Specifications & Features

The Burgman Street 125 tips the scale at 110 kgs, which is a decent figure. The seat height is quite accessible at 780 mm and with a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 litres, we are looking at a riding range of approximately 200 kms.

The Burgman Street 125 is known for its storage space. In fact, at this price point, no other scooter in the market offers so much. This Suzuki gets two cubby holes on the front apron, one closed and one open, and a big underseat storage space. A unique feature of the Burgman are the footrests on the footboard – it has space for the rider to kick his feet out front and rest them like a cruiser motorcycle.

The Burgman Street is also one of the few scooters in India which gets full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster. The latter connects with the rider’s smartphone though Suzuki Ride Connect application and gives access to turn-by-turn navigation, estimated time of arrival updates, message notification (incoming calls, WhatsApp and SMS), missed call alert, caller ID, phone battery level, and overspeed warning. Owners can also get the last parked location and share the trip information using the app.

The Burgman Street competes with the Aprilia SXR 125, Honda Activa 125 and the TVS Ntorq 125. But when it comes to overall package, there’s nothing that comes close to the Burgman Street 125.
